If you're dealing 1920's in our situation, in an older house, you have to deal with these men. Incredibly knowledgeable. Willing to reconstruct long-out-of-production solid brass door locks. Or produce copies that are key for all these locks that work no flubs. Should you require a copy of these locks for one, they still have a wider range of atypical blanks, not one of which may be found at Lowes, Menards or Home Depot. Of course, they're brilliant at the stuff. These men are Ninja locksmiths.

Store not get the job done. The keys they made for me worked perfectly the first time. The man who helped me was fine although I arrived before close. He had his Rottweiler and listened to KDHX! Those 2 things, together with decent customer service and the perfect keys have made me a loyal client. Ill never return to a big box store and have recommended my roommates get their keys made here too.

We needed a lot of specialization keys made and we went here based on the reviews. We were greeted by the friendliest guy who helped us in a timely manner. We needed some keys made for keys and office in addition to a padlock. He had everything we needed when we attempted them and they worked flawlessly. I would suggest this place to anyone who wants any type of key made and should you require emergency support too. Great place and fantastic guy and costs too.

This American Locksmith has always been a spot to get keys. They make keys for home doors, trucks and cars. When I had keys their keys have worked. Altered several times and I have had to get my locks to my home rekeyed once I awakened with a significant other who is no longer about, and after family and nuisance cousins invited themselves into my home without my consent. When the old, first lock my door broke, I called them to have a new lock put in.
After an SO and I called it quits and awakened, I called them to have the lock so that SO couldn't get into my home 32, rekeyed and got the exact same courteous and professional service I had.
I went to their store and got them created when I wanted extra keys to my house and my cars. All keys that they had to return to have them and never have created for me've always worked made.
Whenever I want some keys created, and need some work done concerning locks to my home in St. Louis, I always call this American Locksmiths. There's absolutely no reason.
When I had to have the lock once it broke, replaced, it was a employee but only as good of service as it had been. They work was took a minimal amount of time; it was since I felt uncomfortable with lock that was not competent to 33,, a relief when it was completed.
The employee, whose name I forgot, was efficient, polite and worked until the project was completely done, gave me the keys when I got the lock rekeyed.

Once I needed a key for a 1994 16, I found this place almost by accident. They needed GM keys that are actual, but needed tons of these. Besides auto keys they have virtually anything you may need lockers etc and also the men and women who work here take pride in their professionalism. Its worthwhile to make the trip , I'll never use Lowes or Home Depot for keys again. I understand they do lock out service, but I don't have any experience with the end of the business.

We had to have one lock and yet another mended. They did an excellent job even of replacing our hardware store keys with keys that were cut to the point.

That Doesn't Occur at American Locksmiths on Manchester. Bruce and his guys pride themselves on creating Not only do the duplicates operate, but they can make any key if you bring them the lock. And don't forget about having someone come FAST for your home to replace locks or even re-key existing ones...

There's nothing more disappointing than going to the trouble of having keys and getting home -- and they don't do the job!!!

I had a mailbox vital snap off in the lock, so I headed to American Locksmiths with lock and (broken) key in hand. They had a computer program that required off a code off the back of the lock , and a brand new key is cut by the machine , although I expected to have to buy a lock. Perfect! They took the time to clean and lubricate my lock to prevent the problem. These guys are the epitome of the reason why service and local sales will be better.
I've been here before for company and house with keys and numerous locks, and have not been disappointed.

AMAZING!! I bought a house and the previous owner had left a key the door to be opened by themselves - . After breaking up a key, I took up the lock to American Locksmiths and they were able to make some keys that fit in the lock. So helpful - I would recommend to everyone!

American Locksmith has been a pleasure. They were the only place we could discover that could make duplicates of a secret with"Do Not Duplicate" stamped on them; we will be giving them out to several people. I came (without an appointment) and had quite rapid and very pleasant service all for a very reasonable price. I would definitely make a point of getting keys created here later on.

I can, I love to use a local business. His crew of Locksmiths and bruce are all excellent. Very professional and courteous. The prices are incredibly reasonable and they stand by their own work. But, I've never had to bring something back. And, when I've needed on-site Locksmith Service they're always able to come. Highly recommend!

Anyway, I moved to http://www.surelockandkey.net down the street, walked in, was properly greeted though he was serving a genuine client, once helped it took less than 5 mins and $ two later, I had a new key!
Service and policy.
After waiting 5 mins for the guy to get off the phone (his dialogue was about how he got a rash from his cats licking him through the night, eew, real important). They have a store policy to not cut keys that aren't bought from them? Ummm the only reason you'd have that as a policy is because innocent little old ladies (i.e. the person next in line) do not believe to look down the street for better prices or say Amazon.

We menards and had a copy of our new house key for a lock, and also the stumped Home Depot. We got it and heard a little about keys in the process. Bonus-the owners puppy ginger was cute!

I was told one cost over the phone for a locksmith to unlock my door BUT when he unlock my door 40 more dollars were charged than what was said over the phone!!! Bait and switch!

I had keys replicated at Ace Hardware and Lowes. Some they could not replicate, but were not right and had to be returned. What a nuisance. The large box stores I shall skip and head directly to American Locksmiths.
Most importantly, quick, inexpensive and excellent - ACCURATE

Fantastic location these guys know their stuff. They have a long time if experience and training and you can't go wrong they can do any key that you want made at a reasonable price. Recommend this place to everyone made.

Went into cost a new key and fob situation for my car. I didn't need the transponder(that can be the expensive part) only a little plastic casing, and a brand new key(it does not have a chip). The owner Bruce made little talk for an quantity of time with the customer before me while I waited. He spoke to me like I was a 5th grader, and became impolite when I enquired about the $90 price tag, telling me it was a $8000 machine and that's why when I was confessed by him. I said thank you and abandoned, at that time Bruce felt that the need as I walked out of the door to trash talk. Company plan pal! While they depart, get ignorant with potential customers, patronize them talk trash in ear shot. I'd recommend this place weekly from never.

My mother needed some keys created. She told me that the ONLY locksmith in the town for her is American Locksmiths, and so was she ever perfect! Bruce gave us outstanding service, and best of all, keys that REALLY WORK. I had a terrible experience in which I needed to return to get a set of keys made by a manager because the first group didn't work. I am joined by my mother in HIGHLY recommending American Locksmiths. Save yourself a whole lot of time, go to American Locksmiths to get the job done right the first time.
